August brought in over £10,000, out best month to date. The Hobson Charity very generously awarded us £5,000, if we still needed it at the start of the project. This has kept us on our toes and we have continued to actively raise funds ever since in the hope that we don't have to take up their grant. But it is great to have the security of knowing that the offer is there. We also received a Gift Aided private donation of £5,000; such an extraordinarily generous gift was a complete surprise and it gave our fundraising a tremendous boost. We would soon be in a position to place the contract for the main bell job.
